A water based ink for fine art and poster printing.
Aqua art is a versatile, high performance, user friendly, gelled, water based ink system.
These screen stable, high definition inks can be printed on most type of screen presses.
Is solvent free and low odour the number one screenprinting ink system.
Available in 12 Standard Colours / Binder / Metallics / Fluorescents / Lustres / 4 Colour Range.
Paper, Display Board, Corrugated Board, Fine Art Papers. (Weights more than 120gsm)
77-140 Polyester mesh for most applications [100-40 std]
Autotype 6000 Emulsion
Aqua Art ink may be thinned to achieve proper ink flow (see Additives section).
Thoroughly mix the ink prior to printing.
Maintain ink temperature at 65°-90°F (18°-32°C) for optimum print performance. Lower temperatures increase the ink viscosity, impairing flow. Elevated temperatures lower the ink viscosity, reducing print definition, film thickness and opacity.
Aqua Art ink dries by evaporation in 20-30 minutes depending on temperature and humidity.
Jet dry at 66 – 77 C for approximately 30-45 seconds using maximum air flow through the oven. Adequate cooling may be necessary to avoid blocking problems when stacked.
Thinner: Use WATER or std thinner AQA-RT-400 to reduce the viscosity of these inks. Add . up to 5% by weight.
Retarder: AQA008 Retarder to slow drying times. Add up to 3-5 % by weight.
Matt Additive: Use AQA-SP4271 Matt Additive to reduce gloss levels. Add up to 15% by weight to get flat matt. Use different amounts between 1-15% to
Produce effects from low gloss-satin to flat matt.
