Stylus Photo R300
The Epson Stylus Photo R3000 helps professionals and advanced amateurs alike achieve outstanding A3+ prints.
In response to photographers’ feedback, Epson has designed the R3000’s new features with convenience in mind. A front-loading fine art paper feed makes insertion easy, reducing the likelihood of damage and removing the need for space behind the printer. Viewing media instructions and checking ink levels is simple with the 2.5-inch colour LCD. And the high-capacity, 25.9ml ink cartridges allow medium print runs to be completed while optimising cost per page – great for clubs sharing a printer or photographers who experience peaks in productivity.
Epson’s reputation for superior photo quality combined with the advanced UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta inkset means each print is consistently true-to-life. This inkset offers unbeatable greyscale reproduction, thanks to its three densities of black. Either a standard photo or matte black is employed – and switched automatically by the printer depending on the media used – along with light black and light light black to create true black and white images. This creates a smoother tonal range with a natural look, perfect for portraiture.
Additionally Epson is the only brand to offer photographers a choice of grey tones due to three different black ink densities, which can be easily customised and the settings saved in the driver.
The R3000’s print driver is incredibly easy to use and allows the photographer complete control over the image, helping them improve productivity, customise media settings and use ICC profiles to get the output right and create professional-quality images that suit their unique style without relying on a lab. Users can then focus on capturing the perfect shot, rather than having to learn print production skills.
The SureColor SC-P800 is Epson’s top-of-the-range A2 desktop ProPhoto printer. This superior-quality printer uses UltraChrome HD ink and is ideal for professional photographers and artists wishing to produce true-to-life photos on a range of media. Users can also easily print from a number of devices, including tablets, PCs and smartphones, thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity.
Superior quality prints Using UltraChrome HD ink, our new nine-colour ink-set, the SC-P800 produces true-to-life photos with vivid colours and the deepest blacks on the market1. Your prints will last for ages thanks to the inks’ improved lightfastness2, and large 80ml ink cartridges mean fewer trips to change the ink.

Stylus Pro 7890 and 9890
Designed with the print needs of the commercial photography and fine art markets in mind, yet also representing a sound choice for the proofing market, the Stylus Pro 7890 and 9890 offers accurate colour reproduction with unbeatable productivity.
The wide colour gamut and consistently smooth gradations make for better-than-lab-quality photos and proofs. And the high colour-match rate and superior print quality come from the 8-colour UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta ink. This ink set offers a superior level of greyscale reproduction, thanks to three densities of black. Either a standard photo or matte black (depending on the media) is used along with light black and light light black to create true black and white images. In addition to improving the grey balance and eliminating colour casts, this combination of blacks creates a smoother tonal range with a natural look.
The TFP print head gives superior dot quality for crisp, clear images with maximum detail. Photographers and proofers can also authenticate colours, thanks to the optional inline SpectroProofer. This provides automatic colour certification and calibration, as well as helping to create ICC profiles at speed.
Productivity is boosted thanks to print speeds of up to 40m. per hour, while effort spent changing cartridges is reduced with pre-installed photo and matte black ink. Blocked nozzles are a thing of the past as the Automatic Ink Droplet Detection System detects and fixes the problem without intervention. Other time-saving features include a built-in rotary knife to speed up throughput and a spindles supply reel to change paper rolls easily. Operators can also monitor their work with the 2.5-inch colour LCD screen.

Precise colour control allows you to add subtle colour tints to white in order to simulate the white ink used in the actual printing process. The results are highly accurate colour proofs.
Surface and reverse print modes
These two print modes satisfy a wide variety of proofing requirements. The surface print mode uses white first, then the colours and is ideal for either transparent or opaque media. The reverse mode prints the white last, for rich, vivid proofs on transparent media that can be viewed from the non-printed side.
